Atkinson, Michael
A Texas artist, Michael earned a degree from Texas Tech University. He taught and worked in his field for some time. His Southwestern landscape art makes good use of and reflects his training. He has a unique semi-abstract style that shows a mastery of the watercolor medium.
White space is a very important element in his compositions. Very often the placement of his characteristic birds and his signature help to direct the eye and define the central image.
